| Models of HMS Captain Three models are known about; the one originally photographed in Arthur Hawkey’s book, together with a half-model, are currently in the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich, albeit in the storage buildings some miles away. Special arrangements need to be made to view them. The models were made by Lairds at the time the ship was built, the half-model being the work of Laird's apprentices.
