February 2009 - John Collier added to Descendants' Memories; notes added to the Further Research page concerning charitable schools in Greenwich. Also new section listing known orphanages that took in some of the lost men's children. Note on memorial in Chevening Church, Kent. Notes added to `Building' section on Lairds shipbuilders.

December 2009 - John Bremner added to Descendants' Memories.

February 2010 - corrections to Sir Hugh Childer's title (The Main Characters); title page picture changed; Descendants Memories of Robert Herd added and note added to Survivors group photo; additional information on the Orphan Working School ; family story on Henry Mothersole supposed to be on board but wasn't; ex-RN sailor's thoughts on ships' stability.

August 2010 - full details of additional survivor Robert Mayne added to Descendants Memories.

February 2011 - site re-vamped and tidied up - apart from a listing of boys entering the Greenwich Royal Hospital School immediately after the loss of HMS Captain, no new material of any consequence added.

August 2011 - information on plaque in Eastney Methodist Central Hall, Portsmouth. Information on Royal Hospital School, Greenwich revised. Also added later is a complete re-write of the `Building' section, covering the building contract, the doubts, the sea trials and the stability tests, based on information directly obtained from a copy of the official Court Martial report. Shipbucket drawing added. Information on the role of marines on-board ship added.

September 2011 - drawings from Model Boat magazine added. 

October 2011 - painting by German artist Prof. Rave added in Memorabilia section.

February 2012 - copy of article and photos from The Sketch (1899); some tidying up of Memorabilia section bringing all photographs together, likewise the paintings, and also the models information.
